Hello again, my sexy ponies!
WELLA-WELLA-WELLA HUH -thrust-
I've just found my leather leggings and feel like I'm in the cast of Grease
Art's been coming out of me at a very slow trickle
this summer, but hope you guys like my recent gallery additions! Right now I'm putting together an animated stamp tutorial
, as an addition to the regular stamp tutorial
I made a while ago :
)My dA Story
I know the time to do this came and went with dA's 14th Birthday
celebrations, but I wanna do it anyway! It's all Dan's (Pinmice's) fault that I'm here
. -points blame finger-
We were big shots (;D) on Neopets when we were 14, which is where we met. Dominating the NeoBoards. Owning the Trading Post. Painting our pets on the daily. We were wild and couldn't be tamed
DanDan's always been awesome at drawing, so was on this site before me and encouraged me to join!! Can't believe that was 7 years ago
and that we're IRL friends now, jesus. I'd always enjoyed art and liked making little pixel food decorations
for people to use on Neopets, plus loads of coded userlookups
, so I figured I could put my creativity to use here too!
At first I just had a couple of drawings to upload, but then worked on improving my pixel art by making avatars
. I got Premium and wanted to express myself through stamps on my page (back when they were just a treat for Premium users), but the range of stamps on here was pretty limited back then - and that's what led me to become a stamp-maker
myself! I wanted to make unique stamps in a cute, fun style which not only reflected myself but could also be used by others to express who they are - and that's still my vision
to this day! :
I applied my knowledge of CSS here to create some custom Journal Skins
too, although it's been a long time since I made those due to the new system. Maybe I'll create and release some more sometime!
also really began to develop thanks to being here - I loved and was inspired by the great photographs on this site and aspired to take unique shots with a dreamy feel
. It took a fair bit of practice to fine-tune my post-processing - like a lot of new experimental photographers I went a bit OTT with the editing
to start with! But gradually I found my ideal style, especially after saving up and buying a professional camera, and now love creating a particular atmosphere
with my photography. :
I'm still constantly learning and improving
in all areas of my art: as you can tell from my Gallery I've dabbled in pretty much everything, with a couple of main focuses, but I hope to get more into the other areas (like Traditional
) in future!
So that's mah story, ye wee scallywags -puffs on pipe-
I feel like a dA veteran! You basically all have Pinmice to thank
for my presence and stuff on here. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DANDAN ♥
