Hello again, my sexy ponies!
Since I finished my thesis I've been up to a few things - long nights of dancing to classic rock hits
definitely being one of them, plus an experimental lilac dip-dye
. Check it out!

I've bought a few more semi-permanent dyes to play about with - definitely going to try out a lovely mix of pastelly pinky-purples
on my hair. I just had it re-lightened, so it's a great blank canvas
to play with!orientation poll
Yesterday I launched this poll
to get an idea of my watchers' diversity.. and it hasn't disappointed! I love finding out more about my audience
, and the fact you're all so diverse
(and proud of that) makes me really happy. I don't know if it's just the artistic community, but it's really interesting to see that only about half
my watchers (45%) are heterosexual! The other half encompasses other sexualities: bisexual
making up the largest portion (16% - which is a fab surprise as I'm also bisexual), then plenty who are pansexual
and 'other'. The 'other' category so far mostly comprises the demisexual
orientation, which I wasn't actually aware of before - so it's great to have learned something new
A substantial number (14%) have chosen 'unsure', which is obviously where a lot
of people are at - with today's increasing awareness of our own sexualities
and the fact it's not as simple as 'gay or straight', figuring out and (if you feel it's necessary) defining who you are can be a real journey
so it's totally fine to be in a state of questioning, even for some time. Life itself is about truly getting to know ourselves
, and our sexualities are just a part of that!
So thanks so much
for responding to the poll (and please do so if you haven't already) - I want you all to know that I love this wonderful range of people
who follow my work! Please always be proud
of who you are, whether your sexuality defines that or not.
For those who are heterosexual, and have perhaps grown up with a heteronormative view (the assumption people are straight unless they make it clear otherwise), this result may have opened your eyes to the idea that up to half the people around you
(at least here on dA) may identify as a different sexuality. For those of these different sexualities, maybe it's helped you feel more connected
knowing there really are so many others around you! While it's not a big deal to be of any particular orientation, knowing your feelings are normal, that you fit and feel happy with your identity is
a big deal. And we all deserve that
.Have a fantastic weekend!♥
