Birds Stamp by Kezzi-Rose Birds Stamp by Kezzi-Rose
Birds are the only clade of dinosaur that survived the Cretaceous-Palaeogene extinction around 65.5 million years ago, when massive volcanism and a meteorite blow destroyed around 75% of the world's plants and animals. Birds evolved within the theropod dinosaurs (specifically the group Maniraptora) in the Jurassic around 160 million years ago, and have radiated since into the wide and wonderful variety we know today - true survivors! So by that fact, dinosaurs aren't actually extinct. c:

Heh, I always found it kinda obvious XD
Really, I used to have chickens, and the way they behave, look, and fight for food always reminds me of non-avian dinosaurs, especially oviraptorosaurs (one of my favourite groups).
Then I heard scientists had made the hypothesis a theory and I was like : ''Oh, so I was right! everyone ridiculed me!''

Also...seriemas are pretty dinosaurian (I mean, by the normal standards) they have killing claws like raptors, and have this pure predatory attitude like you'd expect from dromaeosaurs.

No, most were the size of crows or pigeons, such as Confusiornis and all enantiorniths.

I'm a creationist and I completely believe this!
In fact, some of my favorite animals were ones that lived hundreds of millions of years before the dinosaurs, like Dunkleosteus!

Well you know, even though in the Bible it says God made earth in 6 days. That could mean 6 billion trillion years because the flow of time between humans and him is different. So in a way, both the scientific theory and the religion story combine into one thing.

Once your interpretation of Scripture becomes that broad, the Bible might as well be meaningless. Anything could mean anything if you interpret it that way.

Well that's how it is. No one on this planet knows anything for sure, they only can guess/make theorys/stories about it. Quite a mysterious universe we live in, go figure eh?

That is how it is. Thank you. What is the point of religious doctrine if its adherents have the freedom to interpret it as broadly, or as narrowly, as they see fit? At what point does belief stop being religious and start just being belief? When everyone can choose for themselves what is or isn't true, when does religion become altogether meanings as a means of seeking said truth?

As an Agnostic and an Atheist, I prefer when people take broad interpretations of their religious texts. Its means that they are thinking and attempting to ascertain truth for themselves, even if through outdated sources and archaic metaphors. I'm more concerned with religious fundamentalism. That kind of willful and prideful ignorance scares me.

That was disrespectful to say.
You could've said "untrue" instead of "total BS".

I could have, but then I would have been dishonest. I don't just think that Creationism is untrue, but that it is so ridiculously untrue as to merit increased criticism and perhaps even ridicule. I'm less concerned with pleasantries than I am with being accurate and clear. If someone feels the need to shun respect to make their point of view clear, then power to 'em.

All people (for the most part) are equally deserving of respect. Their beliefs, on the other hand, are not. The nice thing about the internet is that you don't have to respond :)

Oh, you poor brainwashed fool... I'm sorry old chap, but the REAL scientists have come to their conclusion and I'm afraid that dinosaurs, much like evolution, abiogenesis, the Big Bang, and big foot, are nothing but a fantasy thought up by those dastardly Darwinists and Satanists. I'll pray for your soul!!! XD

Where are the sources, my good sir? Surely you must have something to back up your beliefs, some type of proof. And if you could please tell me the names of these "REAL scientists" that would be much appreciated.

Sources, old chap? Why, the sources are all around you! Have you ever seen a dinosaur bone? No. Has anyone? No. THAT, my friend, is all the proof that I, or any other sane white, male, protestant, American for that matter, should ever need. Now that that's it of the way, my I trouble you for five measly minutes to talk about THE BIBLE. Now THAT is all the evidence any moral, patriot American should ever need. Let's bow our head in prayer and thank god that the Darwinists will burn in Hell for eternity. Amen.

Sorry I don't hardcore believe in fairy tales little girl, and I'm still patriotic.  Now don't get mad and reply because I don't give a shit and I don't think people want to see this quarrel between a creationist and a deist anymore. We all will evolve into smart beings at one point in life, so just stay in your euphoric, rich, Republican world and eat some homemade cheesecake with oreos.

I'm just a fan of the "Christians Against Dinosaurs" movement on Facebook and felt like being sarcastic. Guess I did a good job :D
