Where it all began. This was the book that opened my childhood mind to the world of magic and wonder. It was the first proper novel I ever read, and J.K. Rowling's wonderful prose totally transported my six year-old self to a whole new land. The books grew up with my generation - as did the characters, who became like close friends - and there wasn't a single child in my class not longing for their own Hogwarts letter when they turned eleven. But even when that time came and went, the books continued to enrapture us and take us on new adventures with our fictional friends - and I still remember the emotion I felt reading the final instalment. I feel so lucky to have grown up with these stories.
I actually live and grew up in the same place J.K. Rowling did: the Forest of Dean, an ancient and picturesque area in England which was used as a setting used in the final book!
The first time I touched a Harry Potter novel I was utterly fascinated by it's wonderful plot and magical creatures~ It was in year 2 ^^ This makes me so happy! ^^ It's amazing how you lived in J.K Rowling's village ^^ You are very lucky~
