This was the book that opened my childhood mind to the world of magic and wonder. It was the first proper novel I ever read, and Joanne Rowling's wonderful, imaginative prose utterly transported my six year-old self to a whole new land. The books grew up with my generation, as did the characters - who became like close friends - and there was not a single child in my class who wasn't longing for their own Hogwarts letter when they turned eleven years old. But even when that time came and went, the books continued to enrapture us and take us on new adventures with our fictional friends; and the pure emotion I felt while reading the very last instalment simply does not compare to any other work of literature I have ever read.
Harry Potter is an immortal modern masterpiece which will continue to spellbind children, teenagers and adults alike for many generations to come. I am so proud to have been a part of something so beautiful and magical.
A Little Trivia: ♥ I live and grew up in the same place Joanne Rowling did; the Forest of Dean, an ancient and picturesque location in South-West England - a setting used in the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. ♥ She attended Wyedean School - the very same school I went to for seven years - and her Science teacher (a greasy-haired, hook-nosed man) was her inspiration for Professor Severus Snape. I've met him, and the resemblance is incredible! ♥ An old neighbour of mine - Phyllis Lewis, a local sculptor, who died recently - knew Joanne and inspired the character of Professor Pomona Sprout.
You're very lucky, and the image is just... wow... I donīt have words to describe it... (could be 'cause my english vocabulary is poor ), but seriously is ;o;, you deserve a watch
