Hardest decision xD
I usually have to play the game at least 3 times
(transferring my old starters to a different game for later use ofc ;P)

Gen 1: I like Charmander, he was my first starter!
Gen 2: Totodile or Chikorita, so hard to choose!
Gen 3: Mudkip all the way. Though Trecko is cool too
Gen 4: Piplup. Torterra and Infernape are 1000x uglier than Empoleon
Gen 5: Snivy or Oshawatt. Emboar is ugly
Gen 6: Froakie because Greninja is a boss ass bitch. Also Chesnaught and Delphox are ugly

Oh, also, I'm not sure if this will help anyone with the decision but my brother picks his starter based on what the first gym is.

The first three is hard, I like them all, but as for Johto's I adore Chikorita. And then it's hard to choose between Torchic and Mudkip, not really keen on Trecko. Then for Sinnoh, all the starters are cute (which is of course the most important thing) and I like Oshawott and Snivy but Tepig is just cuter. As for Kalos, I went with Fennekin. Though Chespin is adorable too, I just love how Fennekin has similar featherings of fur to my dogs.

^ totally unwanted ramble.

Anyway, as ever, your stamp is awesome.

I like reading about peoples' preferences and reasons! Not unwanted at all
I love Chikorita too! And Torchic and Mudkip.. in fact I think I chose the exact same ones as you! I need a Gen 6 game for Fennekin still, though c:
And thanks, happy you like the stamp! ♥

I cannot recommend Pokémon Y enough. The visual graphics are stunning, you can choose exactly how your trainer looks, there are boutiques for clothes throughout the region and a hair salon in Lumiose City (and if you talk to the punk girl in the Trainer PR Video (yes, you get to make short animations of yourself!) she gives you contact lenses to change your eye colour!), and at the beginning of the game you get to choose your skin tone. There is this new feature which I love, called Pokémon'Amine where you get to stroke, play with and feed your Pokémon so you can get more emotionally attached to the cute bunches of pixels all the more than before! All you need to do is smile into the camera and your Pokémon smiles back! And the storyline, while it is quite drip-fed and slow moving, is extremely exciting and the climax had me up all night because I had to 'save the Pokémon'. This was a fun one to explain to my mother.

Fennekin was an easy choice for me as she has a similar poise to my dog McKenzie (again, another thing I cannot recommend enough is looking at the pictures of her and her sister Eliza I've uploaded to my gallery ;p Because they are the most gorgeous things ever). I don't usually evolve Pokémon because I like them to stay cute (and most evolved forms are kinda ugly or macho looking, and I'm picky about having girl Pokémon, used to restart my game over and over until I got a female starter, now my games have wised up to me and just give me one the first time around, I hope they continue this level of understanding). I always give nicknames too.

Haha, guess I kinda rambled a bit, sorry.

Oh wow! I'm glad and grateful you wrote all that because it sounds amazing!! Definitely persuaded me to get it (and a 3DS) when I have the money :la:
I love that they've finally let us choose how the trainer looks, even little details, that's a great addition! Aww and the Pokémon'Amine feature sounds so cute too ♥

Wow the storyline sounds great too, I'm glad it isn't too quick to get through because I love a long adventure! And that bit does sound so exciting! o:
I think I would choose Fennekin too as I love fennec foxes  I usually go for Grass type but I prefer the look of Fennekin's final form as well!
Aww I just saw your photos of McKenzie and Eliza, they're SO adorable c:

Ohmygosh I was always so picky about having the cute/girl Pokémon too, haha! When I got SoulSilver I must have restarted like 20 times to get a female Chikorita :') And yes they have to have nicknames!
Sounds like we're very similar Pokémon Trainers :happybounce:

Yeah it takes a little while to get all the customisation opinions, there's a hair salon in Lumiose City and in the PR Video Studio be sure to talk to the punk girl by the green screen to get the different colour lenses. And there are more boutiques as the game goes on so I went to the elite four all "I'm gonna kick ass! In this pretty purple girly outfit!" ^-^ I won, but as I see it, the credit of the victory goes to my Pokémon rather than me, though I did feel pretty awesome.
I know, getting attached to pixelated things is silly but.... Well now to be honest I justify my closeness to Pokémon and other things on games to 'Have you seen Wreck It Ralph?!"

Haha, thank you. ^-^ Though I did know that already. :XD:

Yes nicknames are for the win. I got fed-up of restarting on Heart Gold so I asked my brother to bread a Chikorita for me until he got a girl one. -.- I am a really good sister. Well, I did get him Soul Silver for his birthday with Mum's money cause I was 14 and had no moneys.....! So :D Good sister. I is very good sister. Not
Yeah, it sounds like we are. Which is great because now when people are all like "Jess... They're not real." Or "Yveltal does not look like a 'poor baby'" ect, I can be like "Other people do this too...."
Though never go on Pokémon Amie while Eliza is around. She gets very confused because I speak to my Pokémon in my 'puppy mummy voice' so she doesn't like me calling random names and saying "I love you" because it's not her. :giggle: She's so cute and funny.
