The EpicentreLike a black hole, it draws the masses.
Flashes of metal, the smell of leather
The sound of boots and low chatter
Fill the space like a fluid.

We're in there, among them.
Brushing shoulders with dark strangers
Tasting the late summer night
On hot, expectant tongues.

The dark pulses with an electric surge
And suddenly there is blinding colour
Washing us over, and over
Igniting a thrill inside.

I take your hand and we rush forward
The crowd tightens, we seize the gaps
Weave 'round curved spines and locked lips
As the first wave builds up…

…And breaks.The crowd jumps, we scream out
Our voices hurt but we still shout

Graffiti I: Butterflies Tabitha Walker had never been so nervous.

It was a clear, frosty Monday morning in the month of November, and the bus scheduled to pick her up from her solitary position was already five minutes late. The fifteen year-old shivered against the hard brick of the bus shelter wall, the hood of her jacket her only barrier against the biting breeze that blew in from the open front. Each moment that passed felt like an age, arriving and leaving impossibly slowly; yet this both quelled and irritated her growing fear. Internal StormCan you smell the rain? You ask;
I shrug, listless eyes skimming
The cold, glassy sheen of the lake.
The words flutter by your lips
And light softly upon my conscience
Like birdsong to my frozen ears.

Your long, ivory fingers
Raise thin trails of goosebumps
On the back of my hand;
A shiver dances down my spine
And I gasp.
What's the matter? You ask.

My startled gaze darts from freckle to freckle
Playing join-the-dots upon your pretty nose;
Watching November's breath
Stir your silken chestnut hair.
I issue a sigh; your eyelashes beat together.
You are such a strange girl, you murmur.

The quiet statement makes me recoil;
WithInternal Storm

Snowed In With YouSnowball fights and cold, damp clothes
We'll both have a bright red nose
Hugging our cocoa close to our chests
Crunching on cookies, a crumbly mess
Warm cuddles in bed, that soft "wake up" kiss..

St. Valentine's DayHe left today.

The fourteenth of February.

A celebration of love turned sour
The roses wilting on the path
Around your numb bare feet
As you sit, trembling, disbelieving
Clutching at your heart.

How did it end like this?
Disagreement, anger and tears
And an indigo bruise upon your arm
Mind flicking through the memories
That he just stole away.

Your paper dreams in tatters
Torn butterflies on the breeze
Sodden with the sky's cold tears
Beating out their harsh melody
Upon your fragile roof.

Drip, drop.

A KissA glistening tear
Rolls down the cheek;
Eyes gleam, wet
And knees shake, weak.

The softest sigh
Warm on the face;
Safe, secure
In deep embrace.

A perfect smile
On lips that part;
Grow closer as
Love grips the heart.

The tiny pulse
That beats with thrill;
Goosebumps raise
In tender chill.

The Willow Tree

Meet me under the willow tree
It's our own summer shade;
The sweet, warm grass between our toes
Inside the emerald cave.

Kiss me under the willow tree
The leaves an autumn gold;
They flurry by as you walk me home
Before the night grows cold.

Hold me under the willow tree
We'll watch the winter snow;
Sharing warmth and sharing love
I'll pray you never go.

Marry me under the willow tree
Spring blossoms above our heads;
Birdsong follows the eternal vows

Don't Go To Sleep: Pt 1 Rain was starting to fall. The Doctor, long brown trenchcoat billowing as little scurries of breeze whipped fallen leaves into whirlwinds at his feet, looked up at the darkening sky as Rose tugged her hood over her blonde hair.
“This could get bad,” he said, shielding his eyes from the sharpening raindrops. “We’ve got to get inside, come on!”
“Why the bloody heck did we have to lose the TARDIS?” Rose said out loud to no one in particular, breaking into a jog as the Doctor did the same in front of her. As Rose looked around at the passing streets of Bristol the sheets of Don't Go To Sleep: Pt 1

Don't Go To Sleep: Pt 2 Rose gasped and let go of the orb in shock. Instead of dropping heavily down onto the bed as she expected it to, the light within burst into life again the moment it left her fingers, and floated upwards to hover around the dark candelabra. She stared up at it, wide-eyed and fearful, still not quite believing what she saw. Am I actually awake? Or am I having one of those dreams where you think you wake up but you don’t really, and then you DO wake up? Her head spun in confusion and she shut her eyes tight, hoping that when she opened them, she’d be properly awake and everything would be back to noDon't Go To Sleep: Pt 2

Don't Go To Sleep: Part 3 They stood frozen for only a fraction of a second before springing into hurried action. By the light of the orb, both struggled into their clothes, a fearful silence between them as sleepy voices and slippered footsteps sounded in the corridor outside.
The Doctor was first ready and dashed to the door, wrenching it open as Rose, straightening her top, followed. Pushing through the jostling, tiredly curious crowd, they could just make out a woman sitting trembling against the wall, with a man that must have been her husband attempting to comfort her.
